San Diego FC midfielder Anders Dreyer signed a contract extension on Wednesday through the 2028-29 season.
The deal includes an option through the 2029-30 campaign for the reigning MLS Newcomer of the Year.
'Extending Anders' contract was a clear priority for us heading into this season,' SDFC sporting director Tyler Heaps said. 'He was able to very quickly show his value to this team through his performances, work ethic, and commitment to the group on and off the field. This extension reflects our confidence in him and our belief that he will continue to play a key role in helping us reach our objectives.'
Dreyer, 27, made an immediate impact in his debut campaign in 2025. He finished the regular season with 19 goals and a league-best 19 assists in 34 matches, with his 38 goal contributions serving as the second-most in the MLS.
The Denmark native added four goals and two assists in five postseason matches for San Diego FC.
