In southern Mexico's Oaxaca State, textile weaving has a long history. In workshops, artisans spin cotton or wool into yarn, dye it with pigments such as cochineal, and then weave it line by line on the loom into everyday items such as blankets, rugs, and shawls. These handmade textiles are not only a vital source of income for many families but also an essential part of Oaxaca's rich and diverse cultural heritage. (Xinhua/Li Mengxin)
